Aldi have been serving up the good stuff for us slimming worlders for a while now, with a long list of items that suit the plan to a T. This, however has to be one of their most interesting offerings so far. A range of wines called "Featherweight" that, at a mere 55 calories for a small glass (150mls) makes this a very low syn wine - 3 syns per glass.
At about half the ABV of a regular wine (5.5%) you will be ever-so-gracefully buzzed on this low syn wine. Whats more - it is very cheap at just £2.99 a bottle. The range is only available in selected stores around the UK currently. Have you come across it?
